Spring has sprung in the glorious Perth Hills! Spring is perfect time for new beginnings and I hope you’re enjoying my blogs BRAND NEW name – Simply PERTHfect! At S&R Orchard in Walliston, the immensely popular blossom festival is back for another year. I popped along today for a sneak peek, before it opens tomorrow (Sept 4th).
The Blossom Festival is on for two weeks (Sept 4th to 19th). The family-run stone fruit orchard opens its gates to for fun and frolicking amongst the fragrant blossoms of peach and nectarine trees.
There is one entry fee, $12 for adults and kids under 12 are free. Parking must be pre-booked online on weekends. There is lots of entertainment and kids activities (an animal farm, tractor rides, flower crown making, bouncy castles, a ferris wheel and more).
I love a photo-opp as much as the next person and took along my pup Ruby, to pose. Pooches are welcome at the S&R Orchard Blossom Festival.
There are Japanese-style arches, giving the feeling you could be in Tokyo. You’ll find a caravan, colourful flower pot wall, throne, piano…
Plus a very pink telephone booth and other insta-worthy props scattered around the orchard.
Food and drinks will be on offer from food trucks, as well as coffee and ice creams from their new pop up cafe. There are a market stalls, some selling fresh farm produce, candles and more.
The blossom smells heavenly. You’re welcome to spend as long as you like here and throw down a picnic rug.
