Little Chef and I do both love a macron. You really can’t go past the authentic French treats by Maison Saint-Honoré at their patisserie in the Swan Valley. If you don’t live near the Swan Valley there’s some good news… the popular spot has opened a second venue – Maison Saint-Honoré in Floreat!

We visited on a Saturday morning and the petite café was packed to the rafters with people tucking into crepes, croissants and house made cakes. The creperie is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner menus with savory and sweet crepes the star of the show, as well as other freshly baked goodies are on offer too. There’s tables inside and out on busy Cambridge Street.

The staff, are friendly and happy to help with any questions for a glu-tard like me. I’m so happy that most of the macarons are gluten free, as well as many of the cakes.

I do love a mum-son date. A chance to chat with my boy, without electronic distractions and share our love of a good foodie adventure. First, we had a hot drink each. My coffee was served at the perfect temperature.

The Food
Of course, it’s best to enjoy a cuppa along with a macaron – this strawberry flavoured biscuit melted in my mouth.

There are so many tastebud tempting things to try in the cabinet. The freshly made cakes and pastries are a cut above at Maison Saint-Honoré Floreat. I particularly love their mango mousse cake – and it is gluten free too!

After a babycino, Little Chef devoured a handmade croissant with ham and melted cheese.

Maison Saint-Honoré is a creperie and patisserie well worth stopping by for brunch, lunch or for a good cuppa with a sweet treat.
