We had popped into Sherbet Cake & Bake Shop to grab a spot of afternoon tea to take home. It was just as well we wanted to take-away, as there was no room for us to sit and have a coffee with our cake. It’s a very popular place!
We indulged in some delicious freshly baked goods…
Rocky Road Cupcake
Red Velvet Cake – So Good!!
Whatley Crescent, opposite the railway line at Maylands is a fantastic spot for food in Perth. From the beautiful brekkie/brunch/lunches at Mrs S to the sweet treats of Sherbet Cake & Bake Shop – there is something for everyone. On this little row of spots there are quirky little boutiques, a deli, cafes and bars.
There are a few in particular I’d like to try…
Smoults Deli – They offer a range of delectable gourmet foods. From meats and cheeses, to truffles, Ben and Jerry’s Ice-cream (which we purchased!) and much, much more. On Saturdays and Sundays they have gourmet hotdogs from 11am – they change weekly and sound amazing. Pork & Fennel, Wagu Beef, Turkish Lamb… Yummy!!
Chapels on Whatley – At first I thought this was an Asian restaurant, but NO! Apparently it’s a furniture store that has become rather famous for its East – meets -West inspired breakfast and brunches. They also specialise in fine teas and coffees.
Swallow Bar – This is a French themed small wine bar, that often has live music. They also serve some delicious looking food.
