It’s only about six months since I blogged about Burns Beach Café – one of my favourite locals. It’s well worth a re-do, as the very popular spot has just enjoyed a trendy facelift. Chef and I were excited to be invited in for lunch to check out their brand new winter menu. Don’t worry – old favourites like the rosti and “blackstone” dishes are still on there – plus some tasty new additions.
The Café has gone from “caravan park chic”…

to this shiny and sleek look. The dining room has also been opened up and updated.

We can be found at Burns Beach Café a few times a week, grabbing takeaway coffee, as we take our dog for an ocean-side walk. When we stop by for a brunch or lunch, we know it’s going to be absolutely delicious.

The coastal spot is popular with walkers and people brunching. Even on a random weekday morning I find myself queuing for a coffee. Fix is the roast – which is creamy and smooth.

Lunch at Burns Beach Café
The new winter lunchtime menu has plenty of choice with share plates and large plates, as well as hands on foods, like delicious burgers. Chef rates their burgers highly, and the Texan burger did not disappoint with a tasty beef patty, crisp bacon, American cheddar, jalapeno, onion, house BBQ sauce.

I love the new braised squid and potato salad. The tender squid goes so well with the pan fried potatoes, that have a slight crispy crust. Chorizo and chilli pack a punch, while the fresh green beans add crunch. Great flavours!

The café is dog friendly too. Ruby often sits in the alfresco area with us – there’s water bowls and even a doggy menu too! The ‘Doggy Num Yum’s’ menu includes Doggy Pupsicles and porky ears.

Burns Beach Café’s quality offering of food and drink just keeps getting better! We’re so impressed with it’s new look and we’ll be back again and again.

Burns Beach Cafe is located at 35 Ocean Parade, Burns Beach.
