There seems to be something vaguely alcoholic-sounding about going to The Wine Store at 10am. To be fair, we just had coffees (no, not Irish!).
The Wine store is an independent bottle shop; as well as a great dinner/wine bar venue. The Wine Store also does breakfast. We had…
Banoffe French Toast ($15) Banana, dulche de leche & chocolate crisps on French toast. This was very decadent – I felt a bit of a piggy having this. The dulche de leche (a sauce made from sweetened milk, heated and caramelised), Bananas and chocolate made it a delicious sweet treat.
Pesto eggs w/fried jamon ($15) Two poached eggs on ciabatta toast w/rocket & pesto. Chef enjoyed this dish (though he thought there was a bit too much pesto) and added some chorizo for an extra $5.
The Wine store is a superb little bar and they also have fantastic Five Senses coffee. We’d love to go back there and try out their amazing wine list too – after 12 noon of course! *wink*
