Stadium Café, Lathlain {CLOSED}

Stadium Cafe Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Stadium Cafe is a friendly inner-city café found just a few blocks south of Crown. After a sports carnival in the city, we stopped by this new-ish spot to refuel with a delicious brunch.

At Stadium Café, which incidentally isn’t at Optus Stadium, there’s seating inside and out. A long table dominates the center of the dining room, which is handy for groups.

The coffee is excellent – one of my favourites – Gesha Coffee from Freo.

The Stadium cafe menu serves up breakfast, brunch and lunch on an all-day menu that has an Asian feel. There’s eggs bene, nourish bowls, chili scrambled eggs and more. A stand out on the menu are the savory waffle dishes. And Little Chef just HAD to try the Korean fried chicken – served with spicy mayo, maple syrup, peanuts and a little chilli. I love it when he’s adventurous!

I enjoyed an avo on toast, served with gluten free bread, it is usually served on sourdough. The fetta-whipped avocado was nicely seasoned and topped with two runny eggs and a sprinkle of dukka.

Being late in the morning, Chef chose the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) Burger with gochujang jam, cucumber, cabbage, pickled radish, tomato, red onion, melted cheddar and a side of fries. The crispy chicken burger got an enthusiastic thumbs up from Chef.

If you have kids in tow, there’s a separate playroom, ideal for toddlers and kindies who will just love the play kitchen, blackboard, books and toys. It would be great to see Stadium Café offer a separate kids menu too.

The café ticks all our boxes, great coffee, tasty food and friendly service. You should check it out too.
