Glasgow Curry House, Currambine {CLOSED}

We’d visited the Glasgow Curry House a few years ago, when it had first opened and really enjoyed it. I’m not sure why it took us so long to return. Hiding amongst the shops at Currambine, is this ode to Scottish-style Indian cuisine. Though it was a busy Friday night, the service was very friendly and attentive.

We had…

Vegetarian tasting plate for two; Vegetable Samosa, Onion Baji, Tandoori Paneer & Vegetable pakora. This came out on a sizzling hot plate and smelled amazing!

Butter Chicken ($20.90) HUGE chunks of chicken which is marinated and then cooked in the tandoori oven, then added to the creamy butter sauce. Very tasty.

Lamb Muglai Korma ($20.90) tender lamb cooked with yogurt, cream and spices. Delish.

We also got steamed rice and a GIANT garlic Nann bread to share. We loved the Nann, it was super fresh and really delicious.

Whilst we can’t comment on whether the curry is authentically Glaswegian, we can confirm that it is very tasty and the servings are generous – we were full to bursting! We’ll not leave our next visit so long between drinks that’s for sure!

*The GCH is also BYO!*
