*Cheap Eats*
On a girl’s night, I shared a “cheap n cheerful” meal with Mrs C and Mrs G. It was recommended to Mrs C, to go to Plenty for dinner, by a CBD resident. It didn’t disappoint! It’s found down Shafto Lane, a busy little hub of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops that runs between the western ends of Hay and Murray streets.
We had;
Cashew Chicken – sweet n spicy with nutty flavours. The chicken was tender and there were lots of veggies too – very nice.
Pineapple Fried Rice with Pork – LOVE pineapple in Thai-style fried rice – great idea Mrs C!
Beef Pad Kra Pro – Was very tasty and hit the spot for the gluten/dairy intolerant Mrs G.
Plenty promises simple, clean, “home-style Thai” – and it delivered. The restaurant is fresh and modern. It’s also good value, at about $15 per dish. Then off we went, into the night, to dance away our full tummies at the P!nk concert!!
