I was so excited and pleased to hear that our blog had been recognised with a Liebster Award!!
The Liebster award is awarded by fellow bloggers; like-minded people who know how much effort and love is put into each post we write. Leibster is given to up and coming bloggers. The award moves through bloggers to other bloggers. The word “Liebster” is German and means sweetest, kindest, dearest, beloved, valued, endearing etc Awwww! That’s so nice!!
The “Confused Bawarchis” are the lovely people that have awarded our Blog the Liebster Award. They are husband and wife Nikhil & Aditi. They both cook and bake, with Aditi being the main contributor to the blog’s writing. Bawarchi is Hindi for a rustic chef/ cook and I love learning more about Indian cuisine through their blog – BLOG LINK – http://confusedbawarchis.wordpress.com/
Being presented with this award makes me feel like I’m on the right track. When I started blogging, in April this year, I didn’t realise what a lovely blogging community is out there – worldwide, Australia-wide and in sunny old Perth. Since then, especially since the EDB13 conference, I’ve come to realise that I’m part of this really special community. Thanks Aditi and Nikhil, it means a lot!
So here are our answers to Confused Bawarchis Questions’s:
1.What is your favourite post that you’ve written?
Oooo this is a HARD question!! I’ve got a few! Jamie’s Italian was my first post ever. I also love the post I wrote about Cookie Dough (in East Freo). I had such a massive amount of “likes” for a photo I took. It was of a beautiful rose-like Littlesweet cupcake. And it tasted as good as it looked!
2.Cake or chips?
Chips. Chips and more chips! Hot chips drenched in vinegar or potato chips/crisps. I do love a great cupcake, but I have to admit I am more savoury than sweet!
3.What is your favourite season of the year?
Spring. Lovely sunny days, but not too hot!
4.If you could be stuck in a lift with one person- celebrity, politician or anyone else, who would it be?
haha A certain Mr DiCaprio would have to be on the top of that list! Leonardo DiCaprio is my favourite actor.
5.Which kitchen equipment/ tool do you use the most?
This a good one! I don’t bake very much, so it would probably be my trusty kitchen knife.
6.How would you like it if you had no phone and the internet for a day?
I would NOT like it!! Not having instagram would be hard. But of course I’d probably get lots of posts written on my laptop!
7.Chocolate or chili?
I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to tonnes of spice, so I’ll pick chocolate. I don’t really enjoy the “mouth on fire” sensation!
8.What’s your favourite TV show/ movie or both?
I don’t have much time for TV, but I am a bit of a Coronation Street tragic (that stems from my English parents!). I also love Entourage and True Blood. I have lots of favourite movies – Romeo & Juliet, Pulp Fiction, The Departed and The Inbetweeners.
9.Pink or Black?
Pink. I’m not massively into pink, but I love colour.
10.What’s been your favourite food vacation until now?
Sydney, earlier this year. I stayed in the foodies paradise, Surry Hills and ate ate ate! Then topped off the holiday with dinner at ARIA, overlooking the Opera House – stunning.
And the nominations are…
In keeping with the spirit of the Leibster Award – I would like to in turn nominate the following fabulous blogs… I love to read these and follow them myself – you should check them out too!
