REVISIT – The Stables Bar (CBD)

You know you’re getting old when you organised to socialise in daytime hours – not wanting to go out on a Friday or Saturday night because it’s “too busy”. My 3 high school besties and I don’t get to catch up as much as we’d like. Life gets in the way, but on this occasion, the stars were all aligned and we were all free. Fabulous! We fancied a bit of a drink and a chat. I thought instead of screaming at each other in a noisy and darkened bar, why not make a nice weekend afternoon of it.

We met about 1pm at The Stables Bar, in the Perth CBD. We’d met here for dinner a few months before and we all really loved it. There were a few people around, but it wasn’t heaving like it would be at night. We sat casually in the shady courtyard and ordered a few cocktails. We had some Cider Bellinis and Mai Tais. The Mai Tai was new for me – I loved it!

We also got some scrumptious share plates to nibble on between us; – it was all very tasty;

Pork & Fennel Croquettes with caper mayo $14

It was a beautiful day and we all said we’d be up for another cruise-y boozy afternoon in the not too distant future! Are you free girls?!? 🙂
